Montserrat Day Hospitals value thier staff and have put a professional development plan together for career advancement and personal development. This is through our Wellness program, which includes the below:
Orientation Programs
Prior to commencing at Montserrat, all staff are provided with a Welcome Pack (by email or post) which includes the relevant financial, tax, superannuation, paperwork. The pack includes some key training modules. By completing these modules and returning the paperwork prior to your first day, you will be prepared to start with us. We all know how daunting the first day in a new workplace can be so from your first day you will start your comprehensive site orientation program and be assigned a buddy to guide you. The site orientation will continue for 2-4 weeks depending on your position. Additionally you will be invited to attend the formal orientation to Montserrat Day Hospital generally held monthly.
Personal Development program
Montserrat offers regular training and development opportunities for all staff. Entry level training includes Emergency Management, Health & Safety, Manual Handling, Infection Control and Workplace Diversity.
Internal Training Program & CPD
Montserrat provides a range of internal training opportunities which can contribute to your CPD requirements. Full details are available for your consideration
CPR Training
Conducted annually for our staff is paid for you by Montserrat Day Hospital
External Education Support
We encourage applications from staff to support in the ongoing education by offering financial assistance or assistance by way of paid time off. . External education refers to training programs, seminars/workshops and conferences that attract a fee and are conducted by external organisations or higher education at TAFE/ University
Education Assistance Grants
Annually grants up to the $4000 are offered to staff wanting to pursue further formal studies. Expressions of interest for these grants are sought around September/ October each year |
