Dr. Peter Stephenson
Executive Director, Company Director, Gastroenterologist (Retired)

Montserrat Day Hospitals is the vision of Dr. Stephenson who has been a specialist physician since 1972 and a registered Gastroenterologist since 1978 when he went into private practice. Peter has a large practice in Brisbane and in 2004 alone carried out over 2000 endoscopic procedures. Peter has procedure lists and consults from all Montserrat Day Hospitals, and is trained in the provision of small bowel capsule endoscopy services.

Peter became Executive Director of Montserrat Day Hospitals in May 2006.

Dr Stephenson was the president of the Australian day Hospital Association between 2007-2010. Peter now has an active interest in progressing the vision of Day Hospitals across Australia and supporting the work of Montserrat.

Ben Korst
Chief Executive Officer

Joining Montserrat in 2010, Ben was the former Managing Director of Informa Business Information for Asia-Pacific. Prior to this Ben worked in the London office of Informa where he was the Managing Director of Informa Pharmaceutical Science. Ben's previous experiences also included General Manager and Financial Controller with a major private steel manufacturing and commerical investment business. His core background was gained with experience at Ernst &Young in Corporate Finance in both M&A and Restructuring. After 12 months in the role of Director of Corporate Strategy Ben has now moved into the CEO role.

Jane McGrath
Director of Clinical Services

Jane McGrath has 27 years experience in health care. Jane has wide experience as a nurse, Director of Clinical Services in private hospitals and for the last 6 years Jane was the CEO of a well respected private hospital on the northern suburbs of Brisbane.

Recently, Jane project managed a $30 million dollar private hospital redevelopments including expansion of CSD, theatre & recovery, day surgery, consulting suites, labour suites, Maternity and Special Care Nursery.

Jane has a focus on people to facilitate organisational change and positive culture and will provide clear strategic leadership to drive.
