Urodynamics assesses how the bladder and urethra are performing their job of storing and releasing urine. Urodynamic tests help your doctor see how well your bladder and sphincter muscles work, and can help explain systems such as: stress incontinence, frequent urination problems starting a urine stream and problems emptying your bladder completely. During the test, your bladder is filled then emptied while pressure readings are taken from the bladder and the abdomen. It is not necessary to fast for this procedure, as you will not undergo a general anaesthesia.
