Dr Wong is an avid supporter of Rapid Access Endoscopy services. It streamlines the diagnostic process, especially for those with positive results from Australia’s National Bowel Cancer Screening Program, ensuring priority access to expert care and reduced wait times for patients.

Dr Wong has presented research findings at local and international gastroenterology conferences. Additionally, several of his research abstracts have been published in Australian and international journals.

Volunteering & Mentoring

Dr Wong actively contributes to his profession as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, where he provides bedside teaching to medical students and both basic and advanced trainees. He supervises and instructs advanced trainees specialising in gastroenterology and endoscopic procedures and serves in a supervisory role on the conjoint committee for recognition and training in endoscopy.

Outside work, Dr Wong enjoys playing the piano, attending music concerts, running, travelling, and spending quality time with his family.
