Dr Madhavi Kasi graduated from the NTR University Andhra Pradesh, India in 2004. She commenced practising in the U.K and completed her Gastroenterology training at the Nottingham University Hospital, U.K. Dr Kasi then undertook a Hepatology and Liver transplant Fellowship from the University of Cambridge, U.K. She also holds Membership from the Royal College of Physicians, U.K and the Royal Australian College of Physicians.
Before moving to Australia Dr Kasi practised as a Consultant in the Royal Derby Hospital and started working as a Fellow in the Gold Coast University Hospital. Dr Kasi is currently practising as a consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in The Prince Charles Hospital, Chermside and Brisbane where she trains medical and Gastroenterology trainees.
Dr Kasi has a special interest in:
- All liver conditions: NAFLD/NASH, Viral hepatitis, Alcohol-related liver disease, Autoimmune liver disease and complex liver diseases- Presented at various national and international meetings
- General Gastroenterology conditions: Coeliac’s disease, diarrhoea, constipation, weight loss and complex reflux disease
- Functional GI disorders
- GI bleeding- Multiple local and national projects
- Surveillance endoscopy for Barrett’s and colonoscopy for polyps, where she has presented work and video cases at international meetings
