Clinical Haematologist - MBBS, FRACP, FRCPA

Dr Manjunath Narayana is a Clinical & Laboratory Haematologist at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and joins our team working as a private Clinical Haematologist in a part-time capacity.

He completed his Medical (MBBS) school at Rajiv Gandhi University of health sciences, India in 2002. After completion of his internship in India he has worked as a junior doctor in North Yorkshire and Liverpool University hospital before migrating to Brisbane in 2006. He undertook his basic physician training at RBWH & TPCH. He completed training in both clinical and laboratory haematology at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Mater hospital & Princess Alexandra hospital. He worked at Nambour general hospital in 2016 as a Haematology advance trainee before securing a full-time position at SCUH in February 2017 when the new hospital opened.

Dr Narayana is the current lead in Lymphoma at SCUH and is also involved in select clinical trials from ALLG. His major interests are in malignant haematology (i.e. lymphoma, myeloma, MDS and MPNs). Outside work he is interested in movies, good food and wine.
