Dr Matt Fanning is a graduate of the University of Queensland. He undertook his training in Respiratory Medicine at the Mater Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. He then completed his fellowship in Sleep Medicine at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
Matt has expertise and has published research in pulmonary infection, severe asthma, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer and COPD. He also has an interest in breathing and sleep disorders in athletes. He is currently researching the role of circulating autoantibodies in predicting the severity of interstitial lung disease.
Matt is a skilled bronchoscopist and has extensive training in endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS).
