Qualifications

Dr Gilmore earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Glasgow, Scotland in 2014. After training as a junior doctor in the National Health Service, he moved to Australia and undertook advanced gastroenterology training in Melbourne. He has had the privilege of completing clinical and research fellowships at the Royal Alexandra Hospital Glasgow, Austin Health Melbourne and Mater Hospital Brisbane, before attaining his Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2023. He is pursuing a PhD in the real-world application of novel therapies for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) at the University of Queensland, where he also holds a fellow and lecturer position.

He earned his MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) in 2003 and completed surgical training at Austin Health, including rotations throughout Victoria, Tasmania, and Alice Springs. Dr Hung achieved Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2014. Currently, he serves as a Staff Specialist General Surgeon at Bundaberg Private Day Hospital, finding great reward in his work within a regional healthcare setting.

Dr Madhavi Kasi graduated from the NTR University Andhra Pradesh, India in 2004. She commenced practising in the U.K and completed her Gastroenterology training at the Nottingham University Hospital, U.K. Dr Kasi then undertook a Hepatology and Liver transplant Fellowship from the University of Cambridge, U.K. She also holds Membership from the Royal College of Physicians, U.K and the Royal Australian College of Physicians.

Before moving to Australia Dr Kasi practised as a Consultant in the Royal Derby Hospital and started working as a Fellow in the Gold Coast University Hospital. Dr Kasi is currently practising as a consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in The Prince Charles Hospital, Chermside and Brisbane where she trains medical and Gastroenterology trainees.

Dr Kasi has a special interest in:

Dr Peter Ko is a specialist gastroenterologist with an interest in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. He works as a senior staff specialist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Peter graduated from medical school in 2007 and completed his specialty training in South Korea. During this time, he completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in internal medicine.

Peter has been working as a consultant gastroenterologist since 2013 and achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2019. He has strong interest and extensive experience in treating large and complicated polyps and has a demonstrated track record of excellent outcomes.

Rasika earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka in 1997. He then served as a Lecturer in Anatomy for one year, followed by roles in Anaesthesia for a year and a half, and in General Surgery for over two decades. In 2019, he was awarded a Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

Rasika’s pursuit of medical knowledge continued where he earned a Master of Surgery in 2005 in Sri Lanka. He became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2007 and obtained his Australian Medical Council Certificate in 2010.
